James Guy reaches 400m freestyle final

Great Britain's James Guy finishes just behind Olympic champion Sun Yang in the 400m freestyle heats to reach the final at the World Swimming Championships in Kazan.

Great Britain's James Guy has become the first British swimmer to reach a final at this year's World Swimming Championships after setting the second-fastest time in the heats for the 400m men's freestyle.

The 19-year-old was second in his heat in the Kazan Arena to make sure he claimed one of the eight spots in this evening's final.

Guy's teammate Nick Grainger went in the second heat, but his fifth-placed finish left him 14th overall, missing out on a place in the final.

China's Sun Yang, who won one of his three Olympic gold medals at this event in 2012, posted the fastest time.
