Hannah Miley has said that finishing on the podium in the women's 400m individual medley at the World Swimming Championships would be "wonderful".
The Scot is one of two British swimmers, along with teammate Aimee Willmott, to have qualified for the final, which will be one of the final events to take place on the last day of competition in Kazan.
The 26-year-old told reporters: "Hopefully I can put in another really solid swim tonight and see if I can stand on that podium. It would be wonderful if I could.
"I tried to race Maya Di Rado in the lane next to me but made sure it was easy and relaxed so I could save something and hopefully go quicker tonight."
Miley, who set the fourth-fastest time in the heats, won the silver medal in the same event in Shanghai in 2011.
