Ruta Meilutyte says that she is determined to defend her 100m breaststroke goal medal at the 2016 Olympics.

Olympic 100m breaststroke gold medallist Ruta Meilutyte has expressed her desire to defend her title at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

The 15-year-old, who earned Lithuania its first Olympic gold at London 2012, said that success in Brazil is her "biggest goal" of the next four years.

"There is definitely a big difference between before [the London Olympics] and now," she told BBC Sport.

"I think about Rio every day, it's my biggest goal for the next four years.

"I had a chance to go back to Lithuania after the Olympics, before the closing ceremony, and spent about a month there, seeing my family and friends that I really missed over the years, seeing the smiles on people's faces made me really proud."

Meilutyte, who also broke the European record in 100m breaststroke at London 2012, trains at the same Plymouth College as Tom Daley.
