Team England's Adam Barrett qualifies fastest for 100m butterfly final

Team England's Adam Barrett records the fastest time in the men's 100m butterfly semi-finals to book his place in tomorrow's final.

Team England's Adam Barrett has qualified in the fastest time for the final of the men's 100m butterfly at the Commonwealth Games.

The 21-year-old finished first in his semi-final as he powered ahead of the field to record a time of 52.00s in a comfortable victory.

South Africa's Chad le Clos finished first in the second semi-final with a time of 52.12s to set up the showdown with Barrett in the final.

England's James Guy also reached the race tomorrow, but teammate Joe Roebuck and Wales's Tom Laxton missed out.
