Australia win gold in women's 4x200m freestyle relay at Commonwealth Games

Australia hold off the challenge of Canada and Team England to win the gold medal in the women's 4x200m freestyle relay at the Commonwealth Games.

Australia have secured the gold medal in the women's 4x200m freestyle relay at the Commonwealth Games.

The team – consisting of Emma McKeon, Alicia Coutts, Brittany Elmslie and Bronte Barratt – broke the Games record to win the title with a time of 7:49.40 minutes.

Canada won the silver as they were just two seconds off the winning pace, while Team England clinched bronze with a time of 7:52.45.

Scotland finished in fifth place, while Wales were disqualified from the race.
