Robert Maycock expecting "life-altering" Commonwealth Games experience

Robert Maycock expects a "life-altering" experience when he represents Bermuda at the Commonwealth Games.

Bermuda squash player Robert Maycock believes that competing in the Commonwealth Games will be a "life-altering experience".

The 24-year-old is one of just 18 competitors from the small island located off the East coast of the United States.

"There are two photos I want to get, one of Usain Bolt and the other of me at the Games in my Bermuda shorts," Maycock told Stroud News and Journal.

"This is more than just a squash tournament, it's going to be a big, life-altering experience but I'm pretty relaxed about it. You've done the hard work at this point so all you can do is go out there and play. I'm just going to live in the moment."

The squash event got underway in Glasgow earlier today.
