David Luckman delighted with medal triumph

England shooter David Luckman admits that he is delighted to have secured a gold medal in his first Commonwealth Games following his triumph with teammate Parag Patel.

Team England's David Luckman has revealed that he was elated to have won gold in the Queen's Prize pairs shooting at the Commonwealth Games.

Luckman and teammate Parag Patel edged out Canada's Jim Paton and Des Vamplew to secure the title, in Luckman's first outing at the Games.

He told reporters: "It's absolutely fantastic, I'm very pleased. [Parag is] the best person to shoot with, we've grown up together through shooting, we've shot together for 20 years, so it's good to do this together."

Patel's gold medal win was his second as he previously won gold at the Melbourne Games in 2006.
