Team Oracle USA complete historic comeback

Team Oracle USA come back from 8-1 down to defeat Emirates New Zealand in the America's Cup.

Team Oracle USA have completed an astonishing fightback to retain the America's Cup against Emirates New Zealand.

From 8-1 down, the American strung together eight straight wins at Golden Gate Yacht Club, San Francisco, to crown one of the greatest comebacks in sporting history.

Four-time Olympic gold medallist Sir Ben Ainslie was brought on as tactician as the defending champions were left for dust by the Kiwi team, but no-one could have predicted such a remarkable story unfolding.

It was only the third time in the 162-year history of the event that a decider has been raced, and a second straight victory for Team Oracle following success over Alinghi in 2010.
