Greig Laidlaw disappointed by Scotland loss

Scotland captain Greig Laidlaw admits his disappointment following the team's 26-23 defeat to Wales in the Six Nations.

Scotland captain Greig Laidlaw has expressed his disappointment following the team's loss at home to Wales in the Six Nations.

There was little to separate the sides at Murrayfield on Sunday, but it was the Welsh who eventually earned a 26-23 win.

The Scots have now lost their opening two games of this year's competition.

When asked how he felt about the outcome, Laidlaw told BBC Sport: "Disappointed to come up short, we played some good rugby but came up short. Rome was not built in a day, and this team is on a journey with Vern Cotter."

Scotland have the chance to end their losing run on February 28 when they host Italy.
