Scotland coach Vern Cotter frustrated by defeat to Wales

Scotland coach Vern Cotter admits his frustration after seeing his team suffer a narrow defeat at home to Wales in the Six Nations.

Scotland coach Vern Cotter has admitted his frustration at his team's narrow defeat to Wales in the Six Nations.

The Scots were beaten 26-23 at Murrayfield on Sunday, losing for the second time in this year's tournament.

Scotland pushed Wales all the way, but they were unable to get the better of their fellow Brits.

"It is a hard one to take," Cotter told BBC Sport. "We were applying pressure and got ourselves in some good situations. We will use this game to move forward into the next game.

"There were a couple of things that didn't go our way. we can't control that. We will look at developing our game, developing our counter-attack. The game is over, we have to take what we can from that. There were marked improvements and we will keep working away."

Scotland continue their Six Nations campaign on February 28 when they host Italy.
