Northampton Saints have secured a 13-3 win over Castres in their final pool game in the Heineken Cup this evening.
Castres thought that they had opened the scoring late in the first half, but the effort was ruled out for an illegal hold in the build up.
Stephen Myler eventually broke the deadlock with the final play of the first half, adding a penalty to give the home side a narrow half-time lead.
The visitors were able to level the scores 15 minutes into the second half, as Rory Kockott split the uprights for the French side.
Chances remained at a premium, but Myler was able to put Northampton back in front late on with his second penalty of the game, before George Pisi charged over in the final minute, sealing the win with a try.
