Wasps have confirmed that Gloucester Rugby scrum-half Dan Robson will join the club at the end of the season.
The 22-year-old, who was part of the England Under-20s squad that won the 2011 Six Nations Grand Slam, has already amassed 51 Aviva Premiership appearances during his stint at the Kingsholm Stadium.
However, having made just three starts in all competitions this season, Robson has opted to seek a fresh challenge, with Wasps his preferred destination.
Waspies director of rugby Dai Young said: "We are already strong in the scrum half department and, in my opinion, this season Joe Simpson has been playing some of the best rugby of his career.
"But signing a player of Dan's potential and skill level will only help to raise the standard and competition for places even further and get the best out of the squad as we look to take the Club to the next level in the Aviva Premiership."
Robson was called up to the England senior summer training squad last year ahead of the Red Rose's tour to New Zealand.
