Gloucester Rugby have finally completed the signing of scrum-half Tavis Knoyle from Scarlets on a two-year deal.
The 22-year-old has long been linked with a move to Kingsholm for a reunion with director of rugby Nigel Davies after working together at the Scarlets.
Davies admits that with competition from Jimmy Cowan and Dan Robson, Knoyle may be one for the future.
"I obviously worked with Tavis from his arrival with the Scarlets. He's a very talented scrum-half, and a real competitor," said Davies.
"He'll add something else to our squad. We've already got two fine scrum halves in Jimmy Cowan and Dan Robson, and Tavis will complement them nicely.
"At 22, he's also still a very young player, despite his considerable experience. His best years lie in front of him and, hopefully, they'll be with Gloucester."
Knoyle has been capped nine times by Wales.
