London Irish hooker David Paice banned for three weeks

London Irish hooker David Paice is banned for three weeks after striking an opponent with his head.

London Irish hooker David Paice has been handed a three-week ban after being sent off during his side's win over Grenoble in the European Challenge Cup.

Paice was shown a red card for allegedly striking an opposition player with his head at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday.

The 31-year-old pleaded not guilty at an independent disciplinary hearing on Wednesday, but the referee's decision was upheld by the committee.

Paice's good conduct at the hearing saw the Australian-born forward have his suspension reduced by a week.

He will be available to play again on February 9 and is not allowed to appeal the ruling.
