Harlequins through to LV= Cup final

Harlequins are through to the final of the LV= Cup after beating Bath 31-23 in their semi-final this afternoon.

Harlequins have sealed their place in the final of the LV= Cup with a 31-23 win over Bath this lunchtime.

The home side made a strong start to the match, with Tom Guest, Tom Williams and Karl Dickson all crossing the try line in the opening 40 minutes to give Harlequins a 21-10 lead at half time.

Williams added his second to help increase the advantage after the break, but a yellow card for Sam Smith gave Bath a chance to get back into the game.

Nick Abendanon went over from close range before Tom Heathcoate added a penalty, leaving Bath just five points down.

However, Bath's comeback was halted when Nathan Catt was sent to the sin bin, just as Smith returned for Harlequins, leaving the away side a man down.

Bath pushed hard in the final minutes of the game, but could not reduce their opponents' lead further.
