Chris Robshaw hails the performance of Owen Farrell during England's 12-6 victory over Ireland in the Six Nations.

England captain Chris Robshaw has paid tribute to fly-half Owen Farrell after his match-winning display in the win over Ireland.

The Saracens man kicked all of the points as the Red Rose secured a 12-6 triumph at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday in the Six Nations.

Robshaw's side now sit top of the table and are the only team who can still achieve a Grand Slam, but he insists that England are not getting too carried away just yet.

"Credit to Owen Farrell who kicked his goals, but from one minute to 80 the squad were top notch," Robshaw told reporters.

"We tightened the game up, ran down the clock and had to be smart. It's a great day.

"Farrell is brilliant at the moment. He's got a great repertoire of skills, but he's got a great team around him who keep pushing him to get better. We're not going to get carried away."

England host France at Twickenham in their next match on February 23.
