Sam Burgess questions who his opposite centre Scott Williams is

England's Sam Burgess adds fuel to Saturday's game against Wales by suggesting that he does not know who opposite centre Scott Williams is.

England's Sam Burgess asked "Who?" when told that Wales's Scott Williams would rather face him than Jonathan Joseph in Saturday's World Cup showdown at Twickenham.

Williams stated that he would rather face the rugby league convert than the quick-footed Joseph when the two sides meet.

"Who's that? Oh yes. Okay, yes," Burgess replied when told of Williams's comment.

"I don't believe what people say. I believe in Stuart. I believe what he has picked," Burgess added to reporters. "It is their opinion. I believe in myself. I feel like I've got the respect of my teammates and the staff here. That's the opinions that really count to me. I will just wait and see.

"I will just let my performance do the talking on Saturday. I don't want to make any bold predictions but I will be ready on Saturday."

Burgess will make his second Test start 10 months after converting from rugby league after Joseph was ruled out of the weekend with a chest injury.
