England will be without captain Chris Robshaw for their third and final Test against South Africa following after suffering a cracked thumb.

England captain Chris Robshaw will play no part in England's third Test against South Africa due to a cracked right thumb.

The national side have confirmed the injury blow today and have handed the captaincy to Northampton Saints hooker Dylan Hartley.

Stuart Lancaster's side lost 36-27 to the Springboks on Saturday following their first-Test defeat of 22-17.

The injury blow to Robshaw is the second in two days for England, who were forced to lose Ben Youngs to a shoulder injury yesterday.
