England beat Scotland 15-12 at Ibrox to book their place in the final of the rugby sevens plate final.

England have held on to beat Scotland 15-12 to book a meeting with Wales in the rugby sevens plate final.

The hosts got off to the worst possible start to the match at Ibrox, as England raced into a 10-0 lead.

Tom Powell soon made things even worse before the interval when he made it 15-0 after crossing over in the corner to score his side's second try.

Scotland managed to grow into the contest in the second half, and they took full advantage of Dan Norton's yellow card to pull the scoreline to 15-12.

There was to be no further comeback, though, and England held out to book a meeting with Wales, who themselves overcame Kenya in the other semi-final.
