David Ferriol loses appeal

Catalans Dragons prop David Ferriol loses his appeal against the two-match ban that he received for a reckless high tackle on Warrington Wolves' Joel Monaghan.

Catalans Dragons prop David Ferriol has had his two-match ban for a reckless high tackle on Joel Monaghan upheld.

The 33-year-old France international had admitted to catching the Warrington Wolves winger during his side's 15-6 defeat at the Halliwell Jones Stadium last week.

However, Ferriol, who has already served half of the ban during the Dragons' 44-14 win over Hull, had decided to appeal against the severity of the suspension.

His appeal was rejected and he will now have to sit out tomorrow night's clash with St Helens.
