RFL: 'No bids for Bradford Bulls'

The Rugby Football League reveal that they have not received any formal bids for the Braford Bulls.

The Rugby Football League (RFL) have claimed that they have not received any bids for the financially-stricken Bradford Bulls.

Joint administrator Brendan Guilfoyle had previously issued a statement revealing that he had received a bid from a local group of businessmen known as the ABC consortium.

However, after meetings with RFL chief operating officer Ralph Rimmer and licensing director Blake Solly, the RFL confirmed that they have not received any formal bids for the beleaguered Bulls.

"The RFL today held constructive talks with the administrator of Bradford Bulls at a meeting in Leeds and remain in dialogue with him over the future of the club," said an RFL spokesman.

"The administrator informed the RFL that he has not yet received a formal written offer for Bradford Bulls from any interested party but remains hopeful of an offer from would-be investors."

Any bid from the ABC consortium's bid is thought to be subject to them being able to buy back the lease to the Odsal Stadium and a guarantee that the Bulls will retain their Super League status.
