Tony McCoy has insisted that he will only think about retirement when he can no longer compete for the Champion Jockey title.
The 39-year-old recorded his 4,000th career win on Mountain Tunes last weekend but he has once again dismissed suggestions that he would think about retiring in the near future.
"There's no point saying I'll aim to ride 5,000 - it's too far away and a little mad," McCoy told The Times. "First up, I want to ride 200 this season, because it's something I've not done often enough recently. The next big thing would be 20 championships, which would be special.
"I wouldn't see any point carrying on, with people saying I'm not as good as I was. I'll stop the day I can't be champion anymore."
McCoy has been named Champion Jockey for the past 18 seasons.
