Legendary champion flat jockey Pat Eddery has died at the age of 63.
Eddery is regarded as one of the riding greats after winning 14 British Classics and partnering more than 4,500 winners.
The Irishman, who made his breakthrough in 1986, had plenty of successes in his career, including clinching two Gold Cups, two King George VI wins and a triumph in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
On Twitter, Tony McCoy wrote: "Very sad news to hear of the passing of Pat Eddery true genius in the saddle #legend."
Eddery, who became champion jockey in Ireland in 1982, rode Dancing Brave, Bosra Sham, Sadler's Wells and Rainbow Quest during his career.
