A fractured wrist has forced Ruby Walsh to withdraw from this weekend's Grand National at Aintree.
The two-time winner of the event, who was due to ride Sir Des Champs, sustained the injury during a fall at the famous course on Friday.
Nina Carberry will now deputise for Walsh aboard the Willie Mullins-trained horse, leading to bookmakers halving the odds on Sir Des Champs winning Saturday's race.
Unfortunately Ruby does not ride tomorrow. @ninacarberry will ride #SirDesChamps & @PTownend will ride #Yorkhill & #Douvan

Walsh has won the Grand National on two previous occasions; the first on Papillon in 1999 and then six years later with Hedgehunter.
