Jockey Davy Condon has retired after suffering a spinal injury in this year's Grand National.
The Irishman, who was riding Potrait King in the 39-horse race at Aintree, fell with three fences remaining, leaving him with spinal concussion for the second time in 12 months.
It was initially believed that Condon had avoided serious injury, but after being referred to a neurosurgeon, it was revealed that he risked serious injury should he continue his career.
Condon's last major victory came at Ascot in December on board Bayan, who is trained by Gordon Elliott.
