Dynaste, ridden by Tom Scudamore, has won the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, despite a slow start in the 2.40pm race on day three.
The 3-1 favourite was off the pace early on, with Kauto Stone taking the lead, but a few minutes in the 50-1 outsider dropped and Dynaste started to storm through to claim the win from Hidden Cyclone in second and third-placed Rajdhani Express.
"I'm just so pleased for the horse," jockey Scudamore said after the race. "He's a very very good horse and today he's gone and shown it at Cheltenham.
"He's such a good horse that you have the confidence when they get going. He moved through the field and job done. I'm a bit more in control this time, mentally and physically. It was a great team effort."
In the end Dynaste won by several lengths.
