A report claims that West Ham United will face off with their London Stadium landlords in the High Court later this year after filing a lawsuit.

West Ham United are reportedly locked in a £100m dispute with their London Stadium landlords and are heading for a High Court showdown.

The Hammers' state of disarray both on and off the field reached its nadir at the weekend when supporters' emotions boiled over during the 3-0 home loss to Burnley.

Some fans made their way onto the pitch, with one being apprehended by skipper Mark Noble, while hundreds more gathered in front of the directors' box to vent their anger towards the club's under-fire board.

According to The Telegraph, matters do not look like improving away from the field, as West Ham and the publicly-funded London Legacy Development Corporation are in a bitter dispute over the capacity for matches at the East London venue.

United officials were promised a 57,000-capacity ground when they agreed to move in at the start of last season, but they are now eager to play in front of 66,000, potentially bringing in multi-millions each year in ticket revenue.

As a result, a lawsuit is said to be pending for November, with West Ham also demanding an increased police presence on matchdays, as well as improved levels of stewarding after the events of Saturday afternoon.
