More than £9,000 has been raised for a Watford supporter who is critically ill in hospital after suffering an unprovoked attack in Wolverhampton.
The 44-year-old man was on the way to the train station after seeing his side draw 2-2 with Wolverhampton Wanderers when he was outnumbered and assaulted.
A Wolves supporter, Ollie Floyd, has since set up an online fundraising page that has received many donations.
"As a Wolves fan myself, I feel absolutely disgusted by their actions and want to wish [the fan] a full and speedy recovery," Floyd wrote on the Go Fund Me page.
"As a token of goodwill and to restore the community's faith in football, I would like everyone to show that the majority speaks much louder than the cowards that attacked [the fan]."
Neither the police nor Watford have yet named the injured man.
