Venezuela coach accuses Paraguay of sending prostitutes to distract his players

Venezuela manager Rafael Dudamel insinuates that the Paraguay national team sent prostitutes to his team's hotel to distract his players ahead of their World Cup qualifier.

Venezuela manager Rafael Dudamel has seemingly accused the Paraguay national team of sending prostitutes to distract his players ahead of the World Cup qualifier between the two teams.

The 44-year-old coach insinuated that the opposition sent sex workers to his team's hotel as a diversion tactic the night before the game, which Venezuela won 1-0.

"There were several female visits last night at the hotel," The Sun quotes Dudamel as saying.

"But soccer players have evolved. We are not surprised with these female visits and do not know who sent them. These are old tactics."

Yangel Herrera, who plays for New York City FC on loan from Manchester City, scored the only goal of the game as Venezuela ended Paraguay's hopes of reaching next summer's World Cup finals.
