Team GB's Rowan Cheshire: Security in Sochi "very good"

Team GB member Rowan Cheshire says that she feels safe in Sochi, but admits that her parents were "worried" before the Winter Games.

Great Britain's half-pipe skier Rowan Cheshire has admitted that her parents were "worried" when she left for Russia to participate in the 2014 Winter Olympics.

However, the 18-year-old insists that she feels safe in Sochi now that the Games have begun.

"My parents have been a little bit worried," she told Russia Today.

"We've just been a little bit careful, but the security is really very good."

In the build-up to the Sochi Games, there were concerns about safety and security in the Russian city following threats of terrorism.
