British long-jump champion Greg Rutherford announces the birth of his son Milo.

Olympic long-jump champion Greg Rutherford has announced the birth of his son Milo.

The 27-year-old posted an image of the baby boy's hand on Instagram after his girlfriend Susie Verrill gave birth on Monday.

Along with the image, the Olympic, European and Commonwealth champion wrote the message: "Happiest day of my life."

While Rutherford decided against revealing his son's name, according to the Daily Mail, Susie's brother Paddy posted a tweet, which he later deleted, saying: "Congratulations to my sister @rugbycupcakes and @GregJRutherford on the birth of baby Milo! He's beautiful."
