Sadio Mane's family home destroyed by fire

Southampton midfielder Sadio Mane's family home in Senegal is left badly damaged after a fire breaks out.

Southampton midfielder Sadio Mane's family home in Senegal has been left badly damaged after a fire broke out in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to The Sun, the 24-year-old's relatives all managed to escape the blaze unharmed but the fire is thought to have caused extensive damage to the mansion and a significant loss of personal property.

"The fire destroyed Sadio's money and documents, furniture, clothes and food, and the building itself has been damaged," Mane's uncle Ibrahima Toure told the newspaper.

"Thankfully we escaped injury as everyone was out of doors when it happened. An electrical fault was to blame."

Mane was on target against Everton today to rescue a point for his side at Goodison Park.
