Police are reportedly concerned that violence between fans will break out during the Republic of Ireland's friendly against England in Dublin next month.
The two sides will go head to head on June 7 and Gardai fear that similar scenes from the 1995 clash at Lansdowne Road will mar this fixture.
Twenty years ago, the game between Ireland and England was abandoned due to the chaos among fans, and according to the Irish Mirror, Gardai are taking extra measures to tackle any potential violence.
The newspaper reports that 15 hooligans who have been banned from stadiums in England are preparing to cross the sea to attend the match.
It is believed that a number of those supporters have links to fascist group the English Defence League.
