Carlo Ancelotti pens new book

Carlo Ancelotti announces the release of an autobiography looking back on his coaching career, which will include a foreword from David Beckham.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has written a new book to be released next week, with a foreword by ex-England captain David Beckham.

Ancelotti has penned the book with a primary focus on tactics and management style, titled Il mio Albero di Natale, which translates to My Christmas Tree.

The title is a reference to the 4-3-2-1 formation used during his time at AC Milan, which saw him bring Beckham to the San Siro on loan towards the end of his eight-year stint in charge of the Rossoneri.

Madrid's current boss looks back at the 10 most significant matches of his coaching career in the book, including Milan's Champions League final defeat to Liverpool in Istanbul in 2005 and the rematch two years later.

Il mio Albero di Natale will be released in Italy on November 6, while an eBook version will also follow shortly after.

The 54-year-old has taken charge of some of Europe's elite clubs during a coaching career spanning 18 years, including spells with Chelsea, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
