Real Madrid press conference interrupted by Greenpeace

Real Madrid's Champions League press conference is overshadowed by a protest from Greenpeace.

Real Madrid's Champions League press conference with manager Carlo Ancelotti and defender Pepe was disrupted by environmental pressure group Greenpeace yesterday.

The pair sat before television cameras and reporters to discuss tonight's match against Copenhagen, but the focus swiftly turned to other matters.

During the conference, Greenpeace representatives lowered a banner behind the Real Madrid pair saying, 'Save the Arctic. Show Gazprom the red card', which was referring to the Russian Energy company, who have been drilling in the Arctic Circle, according to the Daily Mail.

Gazprom are one of UEFA's Champions League sponsors.
