Queens Park Rangers players Karl Henry and Rio Ferdinand have been involved in a heated Twitter exchange with Stan Collymore.
The spat started on Thursday evening when former Liverpool and England striker Collymore took exception to Henry's views as David Cameron and Ed Miliband launched their campaigns to be named the country's next prime minister.
The pair continued the debate during England's 4-0 win over Lithuania last night, when Henry's teammate Ferdinand weighed in:
@karlhenry08 went in hard! Ooooofff! What's all this???

Moments later, Collymore, who is now a pundit on talkSPORT, replied with:
See both of you at #QPR next time i'm there @rioferdy5 @karlhenry08 , you can run your mouths off to my face. God bless.

Later, Henry branded Collymore a "woman-beating scumbag" - a reference to an incident that took place during the latter's relationship with TV personality Ulrika Jonsson in the 1990s.
Love twitter. Where else could you debate politics with a woman-beating scumbag. #peopleinglasshouses.

Then, this morning, Collymore went on to warn Ferdinand to pick his battles "carefully", before claiming that both players should be concentrating on turning around QPR's poor form, rather than using Twitter.
"Won't tag me @rioferdy5? You do know JM ,who we both know is liberal with his mouth about some of your "past". Pick your battles carefully," he tweeted. "You'd be surprised what Morales shares about you @rioferdy5 . Sure B would be chuffed 😉. Mention me tagged or untagged again. I dare you.
"Finally,I do wonder what QPR fans think. 20 lost games - 6 consecutive losses. I'd be embarrassed to use Twitter if I were a #QPR player.
"I wonder what @tonyfernandes thinks of his players being ten times better value in twitter than on the pitch?"
Neither Ferdinand nor Henry has responded to Collymore's latest tweets.
