Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has added his support to a campaign calling for there to be a minimum unit price on alcohol.
The former Newcastle United player, who has had issues with booze in the past, has teamed up with former Prime Minister Tony Blair's ex-spin doctor Alastair Campbell.
The 31-year-old is said to have headed to the Tory conference with Campbell in a bid to push calls for a minimum price, according to the Daily Star.
The pair also took part in a 5k run in Manchester this week to support the campaign.
