Report: UEFA, Paris Saint-Germain held meeting over financial fair play regulations

UEFA reportedly met with Paris Saint-Germain officials to discuss how the club intends to respect its financial fair play regulations.

UEFA has met with Paris Saint-Germain officials to discuss how the club intend to respect its financial fair play regulations, according to a report.

European football's governing body launched a formal investigation into PSG last month after the Ligue 1 leaders struck two deals worth upwards of £360m during the summer to recruit Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

According to L'Equipe, several PSG directors attended a meeting at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland on Thursday.

Meanwhile, ESPN says that it has received confirmation from the governing body that its Club Financial Control Body (CFCB), which oversees club licensing and FFP regulations, had met with the club.

"The CFCB investigatory chamber had a routine meeting as part of the ongoing investigation with a delegation from PSG yesterday afternoon," a UEFA spokesperson reportedly said via email.

Neymar joined from Barcelona for a world-record fee of £198m at the start of August, before PSG signed Mbappe from Monaco on loan with the option to buy him next summer in a deal that could eventually be worth £166m.
