A passenger on board a flight to Buenos Aires has claimed that he was assaulted by Diego Maradona after offering him a diet supplement.
The 52-year-old, whose fiery temper has landed him in trouble on a number of occasions, was returning home to visit his three-month-old son, Diego, for the first time.
According to The Mirror, the passenger said that Maradona, who was greeted by a throng of photographers on his way through customs, was drunk on board the plane from Dubai.
After instructing his bodyguards to "walk and elbow" their way through the crowded airport, the World Cup winner is later believed to have hurled stones at journalists after stopping his car on the motorway.
