Prince Harry helps Premiership Rugby launch Try Rugby programme in Brazil

Prince Harry teams up with Premiership Rugby to launch a Try Rugby programme in Brazil.

Prince Harry teamed up with Premiership Rugby on Tuesday to help launch a Try Rugby programme in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

The 29-year-old gave his backing to the initiative in Belo Horizonte before watching England end their World Cup campaign with a goalless draw against Costa Rica in Group D.

The launch of the programme, which began in Sao Paulo, was greeted by thousands of people in the city before Prince Harry attended a Try Rugby demonstration.

Community and CSR Director Wayne Morris said: "It was incredible – there were thousands of people there. He is in Brazil at the moment and was attending the England game later in the day so he came along in the morning and helped us to launch the expansion of the programme.

"He had a photo with the British Olympic guys and then came along to a Try Rugby demonstration with four of our coaches."

The venue for the launch will be used as the British Olympic base for the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.
