Brazil legend Pele admits he feels "blessed" to have recovered from health scare

Brazil star Pele admits that he feels "blessed" to have recovered from a recent spell in hospital with a urinary infection.

Brazilian football legend Pele has admitted that he feels "blessed" to be healthy again following a recent spell in hospital.

The 74-year-old was placed in a special care unit in a Sao Paulo hospital last November due to a urinary infection.

Due to his stint in hospital, the three-time World Cup champion required physiotherapy to recover some of the muscle mass that he lost.

According to ESPN, while visiting a slum in Santiago, Pele said: "I want to thank God because I have my health and I'm here before you all I feel blessed because with health you can do it all."

Pele attended Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United at Anfield on March 22.
