Olympic champion Mo Farah wanted son's middle name to be 'Arsenal'

Double Olympic champion Mo Farah reveals that he wanted his son's middle name to be 'Arsenal', but his wife forbade it.

Double Olympic champion Mo Farah has revealed that he wanted his newborn son to have 'Arsenal' as a middle name.

The long-distance runner recently welcomed Hussein Mo Farah into his family, but his wife Tania did not approve of their child being named after the sportsman's favourite football club.

Farah, who won two gold medals at the World Championships earlier this year, is also a parent to twin girls Aisha and Amani, as well as a stepfather to Tania's daughter Rihanna from a previous relationship.

"I wanted Arsenal to be Hussein's middle name, but Tania wasn't having it," Farah told Hello! magazine. "Growing up I would never have thought that I'd be a double Olympic champion, with a lovely home and beautiful kids."

Farah also has seven European gold medals.
