World number one golfer Rory McIlroy has revealed that he is "very happy" in his new relationship with PGA employee Erica Stoll.
The Northern Irishman went public with his American girlfriend of six months at the Irish Open last weekend.
Stoll is McIlroy's first serious partner since he ended his engagement with tennis player Caroline Wozniacki more than a year ago.
The 26-year-old is said to have met Stoll, 29, in 2012, but the pair have just been friends until around six months ago, when they began dating.
"I am very happy in my love life," McIlroy told The Times Magazine. "We haven't really been putting it out there. She is from America, which is why I like to spend time in Palm Beach. The past six or seven months have been really nice. That part of my life is going great."
McIlroy has missed the cut in his last two tournaments.
