American swimming Olympic gold medallist Ryan Lochte reportedly raced Prince Harry in a Las Vegas pool over the weekend.

The 28-year-old, who won five medals at the London Olympic Games, which included his first-ever gold, is believed to have challenged the royal Brit to a friendly competition in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to the Daily News.

It is understood that the pair jumped into the pool fully clothed with hundreds of spectators cheering them on as Lochte charged the length of the pool to win the breaststroke contest.

Reports have claimed that after the race the pair continued to party for the remainder of the night with hundreds of club-goers.

Meanwhile, it is thought that Lochte has been offered a TV deal to appear on reality dating show The Bachelor.
