Jake Humphrey has insisted that he will act as "anchorman" for BT Sport's first season on air.
The presenter, who is a Norwich City supporter, has likened his role to that of character Ron Burgundy played by Will Ferrell in film Anchorman, but insists that he will be "better behaved".
"In a non-Ron Burgundy way, I'm going to be the anchorman for BT Sport this season, just better behaved and nicer to small dogs," Humphrey told the Daily Mail.
"My job is to present and front the Premier League coverage and other football. For example, it's my Roy of the Rovers moment to present the FA Cup final this coming season.
"I'm just getting to talk about football and get paid for it and then watch loads of football at home because when my wife asks about it, I can say it's research!"
BT Sport's first live Premier League game of the season is the early kickoff on Saturday between Liverpool and Stoke City.
