Olympic diver Tom Daley has been painted by an artist comprising all of the homophobic tweets the teen received when he revealed that he was gay.
The 19-year-old released a YouTube video last year saying that he was in a relationship with a man, later revealed to be Oscar-winning director Dustin Lance Black.
Manchester-based artist Conor Collins decided to create a black and white image of Daley standing in front of a Union Jack flag by only using the vile words sent on Twitter about the sportsman's sexuality.
"I hate bullying," the Daily Star quotes Collins as saying. "It boils my blood to see someone unfairly getting picked on. I see red.
"For Tom Daley to take charge of his life like that and make the video was inspiring and brave. To see the abuse he received made me very angry. You shouldn't ignore the homophobic society you should highlight it."
Daley, who is expected to compete at this summer's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, embarked on a television career with ITV reality show Splash! after clinching a bronze medal at the London 2012 Olympics.
