BT Sport has announced that it will show live coverage of the BDO World Professional Darts Championship in January 2015.
The broadcaster has expanded its sports bill by adding 35 hours of coverage from the Lakeside Country Club in Surrey, where the likes of three-time winner Martin Adams, Tony O'Shea and 2013 champion Scott Waites will compete.
BT Sport will share coverage with the BBC from Saturday, January 3 to Sunday, January 11, showing all the evening action of the tournament until the final.
Head of BT Sport Simon Green said: "We are delighted to be showing the BDO World Darts Championships, adding to the fantastic live sport and shows we have on our channels.
"We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of sport including top-flight football, first class rugby, motorsport, American sport and much more."
Presenters Ray Stubbs and Helen Skelton will be reporting on the action throughout the tournament next month.
The move highlights the broadcaster's battle with Sky, who will launch Sky Sports Darts over the Christmas period.
