David Beckham has reportedly won his battle against a neighbour opposed to him making renovations to his London mansion.
The retired footballer and his wife Victoria plan to install air conditioning in five rooms of their property in Holland Park, West London.
The renovations, which are expected to take place in the gym and large wine cellar of the £31.5m property, caused one neighbour to reportedly complain, stating that the changes would damage the "historic character of the Victorian house of the streets, my house included".
However, according to numerous reports, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Council have given the Beckham family the green light to go ahead.
The unhappy resident stated in their complaint that the noise of the air conditioners would be disruptive, but the council have stated in a report that the system keeps to the borough's criteria.
