Former England football captain David Beckham posed with the Queen during the Young Leaders Event at Buckingham Palace on Monday.
The 40-year-old, who retired from football in 2013, mingled with royalty while celebrating business talent coming through Britain and the Commonwealth.
In a large group photo, Beckham was seated next to the Queen, while former Conservative prime minister John Major also took part in the event hosted by Her Majesty.
Beckham expressed his awe with an Instagram post, which read: "WOW my nan and grandad would have been so proud of this picture... Beautiful evening a Buckingham Palace."
The former footballer played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain in his career.
