Newcastle United have reportedly sent letters to national newspapers telling them of a new initiative that will include the press having to pay money in order to gain access to the players.
The Magpies banned ncjMedia titles from having access to the club following reports regarding a supporters' march against club owner Mike Ashley.
It is understood that the North-East outfit has reached out to the press offering a paid-for "exclusive" access package, which will allow interviews with players and staff, according to The Chronicle.
Reports have claimed that one national newspaper has already rejected Newcastle's new proposal.
